Jose is a joy to work with! Wonderful work - very high level of pride and craftsmanship! Jose has worked on the roofs of two different houses for me and we called him again when our new home in West Marin sprang 7 leaks in our kitchen! Jose sent a team of guys to patch it on Christmas Eve - a Sunday! - in between rain storms, and returned at the first break in the rain to completely replace our roof in 2 1/2 days! The foreman, Eli Ogle, supervised with Ricardo and Chavez heading the team of 7 guys to get the work finished in between winter storms. They replaced our tar and gravel flat roof with heat reflective TPO latex covering which lasts 30+ years. They reshingled our two peaks with Bark colored shingles - also 30 years - which improves the aesthetics of our home. A great team of guys. We could not recommend them more highly! ~ Rudi D

We needed a new roof because ours was 22 years old & we are about to go solar. I got 5 bids from local Roofing Contractors. It was immediately apparent who we should choose. We went with Roofing Craftsmen because they are professional, expedient, had many satisfied customers & their price was right. Jose Escalante & his crew were professional, diligent & friendly. Jose talked to us regularly throughout the process, his crew cleaned up after every day they were done. 3 days we had our new roof. Roofing Craftsmen is how a roofing company should be run. We are really happy with the work Jose and his team did. It was a job we were unfamiliar with, and so, were dreading it. We couldn't be more happy with the experience and work. They removed 3 layers roofing, identified, uncovered and replaced 1/2 a dozen or more sagging trusses (?), and replaced the gutters. I was pleasantly surprised how they were able to fit in the needed repairs quickly - and that it cost what he said it would cost. No surprises. The guys were friendly and took care to clear the site each day. They were fast too. New roof looks great, and no more sagging. Our neighbor is calling Jose for their roof. ~ Russ E

Jose and his fantastic team just completed my roof as well as installing new seamless gutters. I am blown away by their level of professionalism, quality of work, and speed: they were done in TWO DAYS and my house is not small! They were kind and considerate of my neighbors on a narrow street, and Jose was honest and forthright with his pricing estimates. Additionally, I have only found one nail that they missed during cleanup...seriously. For over 10 years we had significant leaks during rainstorms in our living and dining rooms, as well as the skylight in our kitchen. Twelve tubs set out to catch the water! Every time it rained! We had our roof replace six years ago, partially to resolve the leaking problem. The roofer said the leaks were the fault of the chimney and not in his wheelhouse. The chimney guys said it was a roofing problem. Neither did anything about it. Mr. Skylight looked at the leaking skylight and said it couldn't be fixed and we needed to buy a new skylight, which we politely declined. I was at wits end and a friend suggested I call Jose at Roofing Craftsmen. They re-worked the roofing on the area around the chimney and skylight and voila...a few days later an atmospheric river came by for days and not a single leak! Why did it take 10 years to find them? Last week I had a complicated problem with a downspout and they fixed it with a simple solution the next day. You cannot go wrong with Roofing Craftsman. ~ Vaughan A

Jose and his crew came out to take a look at a long time issue we've had with our roof that we've had two other crews work on over the years. The last atmospheric river almost sunk a visit from some friends as the roof leaked AGAIN... and with another one on the way, we needed to act fast to get this resolved permanently. Very fair pricing on very short notice... written estimate and we're off. Started the next day and reported that there was some dry rot that he would cover under our original estimate... no gouging here... Work was impeccable and clean up was complete... couldn't even tell that work had been done. Attention to detail was high. He replaced a board that was rotted and made sure that he primed the board to ensure that it wouldn't suffer with the upcoming rain. Overall, we're impressed and highly recommend Roofing Craftsman for your roofing needs. They were on time and delivered exactly what they promised on time and on budget. I've attached photos of the replaced primed facia board and the absolutely clean entry that they left after the work (the rest is under our roof tiles, so there's nothing to see there) ~ Jamie P

Just want to give a shout out to this company and their employee, Jose. I sent an inquiry on Yelp in the late afternoon and got a quick response the following morning. Jose came out that afternoon earlier than planned and was able to fix the issue (tile replacement & repair) the same day. Thank you for the customer service & quick response. I appreciate it. I found Roofing Craftsman through Angie and it was the best home repair experience of the 40+ years that I’ve lived here. Not only was the owner, Jose Escalante, quick to respond to my initial contact, but every communication that followed was prompt and courteous. He showed up for our appointment on time and gave me a competitively priced quote. When I decided that more work than initially discussed would be needed, he returned to remeasure and revise his quote. We agreed that he would do the work the next week and he and his crew showed up on time. They did an amazing job of protecting my garden and the neighbors’ property as well and their after work cleanup was impeccable. He took photos of the repair work done so I have that information for my files. I have very confidence that his work extended the life of my 20 year old roof for another 5-7 years, thus saving me money in the immediate future. I can’t speak highly enough of this company and strongly recommend that you use them for your roofing needs. P.S. Jose has easily become our favorite person to work with. Recommended to us by a skylight specialist, we first lucked out with getting Jose’s help last year when we bought our house and needed some patch up work on the shingle roof as well as replacement of some cracked skylights over a breezeway. While in the process of getting an estimate, we had a roof leak pop up & Jose responded immediately and was able to come by the next day to get everything patched up. He then helped with fixing up all of the previously mentioned stuff with the roof, helped us get brand new skylights and install them correctly on our tar & gravel breezeway (unlike what had been on there before), and did an amazing job, delivering just as promised - all with a smile. Recently, we were redoing our roof deck and realized we should probably get the roof checked out to ensure everything looked good before building the new deck. Jose came through yet again and we are so grateful to have someone like him on our side. He is everything that you hope for - responsive, punctual, friendly, and does fantastic work. These guys are great! I had a couple leaks that appeared after these storms and José came out and informed me of the condition of my roof. They were able to replace my whole roof and gutters fast.
